CAI NEUQUEN's Anacleto Unax quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rega Merida CF were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after CAI NEUQUEN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filcho Dzhagarov took the corner. Desiderio Naelio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmund Kojder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The corner led CAI NEUQUEN's Raul Heriberto to fire away a dangerous shot which Edmund Kojder despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Edmund Kojder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Desiderio Naelio in the 34th minute of play. Ermegildo Horado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Sârban in the 37th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Nistor Sârban's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ermegildo Horado was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Edmund Kojder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Elija in the 41st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nistor Sârban managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rega Merida CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nistor Sârban was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermegildo Horado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nistor Sârban went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nistor Sârban made the kick off in the second half. Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filcho Dzhagarov during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 58 minutes into the game, Desiderio Naelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CAI NEUQUEN's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rega Merida CF the free kick. In the 58th minute, Desiderio Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nistor Sârban was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Rega Merida CF's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Rega Merida CF booed when CAI NEUQUEN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Rufio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rega Merida CF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonello Messias in the 90th minute. Leonello Messias made a great header on Rega Merida CF's corner, it was just that CAI NEUQUEN's Ermegildo Horado managed to reach the ball for a save. Leonello Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rega Merida CF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
