In the 21st minute Cemal Palabıyık shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo de Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Sârban in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Carioca got free with Edmund Kojder in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edmund Kojder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliks Škarpa in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliks Škarpa in the 36th minute of play forced Rega Merida CF's goalkeeper Edmund Kojder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by The Glorious FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fang Hao Jing was the one to do the kick off. Diogo de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Sârban in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Rega Merida CF booed when The Glorious FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pauli Pogba didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Feliks Škarpa came free, but Edmund Kojder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diogo de Souza made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Nistor Sârban sent off a good shot on target. Rega Merida CF played a much better game than The Glorious FC and deserved their victory. The The Glorious FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
