The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Corleone to maneuver through the defense. Oliverio Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toro Martínez's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Oliverio Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Toro Martínez in the 14th minute. Toro Martínez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toro Martínez got free with Oliverio Kahn in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eric Ramires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Silvestre Peli having to make a save. In the 23rd minute, Toro Martínez made a precise shot to the right of Oliverio Kahn. AS Pikachuzim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Toro Martínez might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliverio Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toro Martínez ran back to his position shaking his head. Toro Martínez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Oliverio Kahn made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toro Martínez in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oliverio Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jacinto Veiga hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Arturo Arano struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Oliverio Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despidida AFC. In the 37th minute, Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 40th minute of the match. AS Pikachuzim's Jacinto Veiga managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Michael Corleone in the 41 minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toro Martínez was the one to do the kick off. When AS Pikachuzim's Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Silvestre Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 55th minute of play. Oliverio Kahn came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Szymon Pyrzyce replaced Arturo Arano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Szymon Pyrzyce in the 66th minute of play forced AS Pikachuzim's goalkeeper Oliverio Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, AS Pikachuzim's Ronaldinho Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Silvestre Peli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oliverio Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Czeslaw Kopacz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliverio Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute Czeslaw Kopacz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emiliano Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AS Pikachuzim made a substitution. Luciano Sarmento replaced Eric Ramires. AS Pikachuzim's Lauro Cearense was substituted for Santos Rallo. Silvestre Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arif Oğuz Semdin in the 91st minute of the match. Oliverio Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco in the 92nd minute of play. Luciano Sarmento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Silvestre Peli made a huge save. Silvestre Peli made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Luciano Sarmento sent off a good shot on target. Despidida AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
