Gustavo Tartalo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Soroca F.C.'s Gustavo Tartalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vilhelm Skoog kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Lano got free with Rodriguinho Sousa in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ralf Albäck in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dan Wennerqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Deilmison van Basten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Dan Wennerqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Ralf Albäck made a precise shot to the right of Dan Wennerqvist. Soroca F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Dan Wennerqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Albäck, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match ATHLETICO PRaiano got a corner. Soroca F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Betão Marquez ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Gaétan Govou to score against Dan Wennerqvist in Soroca F.C.'s goal. 0-2 after 36 minutes. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Lano in the 41st minute of play. In the 47th minute Ralf Albäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Wennerqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrián Espadas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ralf Albäck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After having played for 55 minutes, Adrián Espadas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soroca F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrián Espadas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Romulo Thomas replaced Gustavo Tartalo. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Denílson Magalhães was substituted for Ralf Albäck. ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. When Romulo Thomas came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Thomas couldn't finish the play. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Vilhelm Skoog managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Max Josef Justice in the 73 minute of the game. Dan Wennerqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 74th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dan Wennerqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Răzvan Necula recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of ATHLETICO PRaiano booed when Soroca F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cássio Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ATHLETICO PRaiano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
