Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Iurie Bănățeanu kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Slovakia booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Mihăilescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Codruț Macaneață hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's zone, Metod Mlynar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Onișoru came out of the goal and Metod Mlynar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gigi Bobei got free with Henrich Slany in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 13th minute, Kornel Jahoda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 minutes, Iurie Bănățeanu made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Slovakia's Henrich Slany tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lucian Şimonca charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucian Şimonca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu in the 18th minute of play. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Bobei in the 23rd minute of the match. Codruț Macaneață who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Henrich Slany when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 28th minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valer Onișoru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silver Phoenix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Henrich Slany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute Gigi Bobei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slovakia's Metod Mlynar got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Slovakia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Gigi Bobei scored to the left of an out of position Henrich Slany, making the score, 2-0. With a little luck, Slovakia's Henrich Slany got control of the ball when Codruț Macaneață tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kornel Jahoda charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kornel Jahoda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kornel Jahoda to maneuver through the defense.

Metod Mlynar hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Felix Mihăilescu hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Metod Mlynar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 68 minutes into the game, Iurie Bănățeanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Henrich Slany was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigi Bobei in the 71st minute of the match. If Codruț Macaneață had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Metod Mlynar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valer Onișoru having to interfere. Valer Onișoru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Metod Mlynar, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Felix Mihăilescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gigi Bobei scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrich Slany, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Bobei in the 92nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zigmund Maliar during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Slovakia for a fine match.
