Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Berkan Berka came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 10th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brian Åkerberg went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentino Basulto in the 19th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Brian Åkerberg notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eugenio Meo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brian Åkerberg's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Brian Åkerberg put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. In the 30th minute, Hernán Restat reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 4-0. Alirio Ducoing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of play. Don Pico hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Åkerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernán Restat in the 39th minute of the match. If Valentino Basulto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Alirio Ducoing tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Brian Åkerberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kees Mooiweer made in the 62nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gijsbert ter Kruimer however managed to control. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 67th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alirio Ducoing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. C.A. Peñarol's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Netherlands's Wim Wilmes to a score. 5-1 in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alirio Ducoing was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Alirio Ducoing made a huge save. Alirio Ducoing was a little too slow when Wim Wilmes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 5-3. After 86 minutes of play, C.A. Peñarol's Anselmo Velin made it 6-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Velin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Egbert Nijveldt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Netherlands protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Egbert Nijveldt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Don Pico struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. Peñarol. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C.A. Peñarol.
