After having played for 4 minutes, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an all-out effort, Stoicii's Keld Paulsen threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Claudiu Popescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 13th play minutes Claudiu Popescu shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Keld Paulsen and just under the crossbar into goal. Pavel Crăciunescu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Keld Paulsen skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eduard Petruț kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After 23 played minutes Stoicii got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Petruț. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Popescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Cristian Cristea hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikkel Wulff in the 29th minute of play forced Stoicii's goalkeeper Mihăiţă Mirciulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Denmark's Mikkel Wulff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mihăiţă Mirciulescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Stoicii's Claudiu Popescu got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mihăiţă Mirciulescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mihăiţă Mirciulescu saved Stoicii from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Cristian Cristea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Cristian Cristea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bertram Svenningsen's late challenge caught a Stoicii's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertram Svenningsen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertram Svenningsen to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Claudiu Popescu came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute, Eduard Petruț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 60 minutes into the game, Denmark's Chris Nygaard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mihăiţă Mirciulescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Mihăiţă Mirciulescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stoicii's Mihăiţă Mirciulescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Stoicii from getting a goal against them. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavel Crăciunescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Mihăiţă Mirciulescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 77th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Mihăiţă Mirciulescu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 87th minute, Benoit Gijselinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Nygaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mihăiţă Mirciulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Stoicii booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikkel Wulff didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Podgoreanu in the 93rd minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Stoicii had won, even though Denmark had held more of the ball.
