Holger Vennerlund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Gnesta Oilers's Alfred Liljeström quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jan-Oliver Pässler, made in the 23rd minute of the game. Holger Vennerlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xande Xande in the 25th minute of the match. Per-Åke Lundgren scored 2-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hubert Villa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Holger Vennerlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xande Xande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute, Stefan Dalkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Gnesta Oilers's zone, Jan-Oliver Pässler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Holger Vennerlund came out of the goal and Jan-Oliver Pässler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Gnesta Oilers's Lars Hammarberg got a free kick in the 39th minute. After 48 minutes, Alfred Liljeström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gnesta Oilers and the FC Unterrudling players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 49 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Liljeström. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xande Xande to make the kick off. In the 61st match minute, FC Unterrudling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oskar Andrzejewski to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Xande Xande sped through Gnesta Oilers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Holger Vennerlund. In the 67th minute Per-Åke Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hubert Villa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xande Xande showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-4. FC Unterrudling's Paul Kromp was substituted for Xande Xande. Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Schröer in the 87th minute of play. Paul Kromps short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Holger Vennerlund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Unterrudling had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
