A hard shot 5 in the game by Juan Lebron from a close distance when the talented Holger Vennerlund managed to make a qualified save. Gnesta Oilers's players were relieved. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gnesta Oilers's goalkeeper Holger Vennerlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th minute of the match Norrlands Athen got a corner. Gnesta Oilers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filcho Slivkov ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Norrlands Athen's Filcho Slivkov to fire away a dangerous shot which Holger Vennerlund despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Norrlands Athen's Jacinto da Silveira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist, made in the 10th minute of the game. A collision led to Gnesta Oilers getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lars Hammarberg hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Norrlands Athen's Juan Lebron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Holger Vennerlund. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. In the 18th minute, Måns Sandberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norrlands Athen were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Gnesta Oilers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filcho Slivkov took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Urbano Fidencio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Holger Vennerlund quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Juan Lebron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Holger Vennerlund when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gnesta Oilers's goalie prevented a goal. Holger Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 29th minute of play. Bengt-Arne Lindqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bengt-Arne Lindqvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gnesta Oilers's Bengt-Arne Lindqvist got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Holger Vennerlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan Lebron in the 38th minute. Juan Lebron in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Holger Vennerlund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Holger Vennerlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Sandberg in the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per-Åke Lundgren to make the kick off. Norrlands Athen's Qian Zhen Sheng managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist in the 51 minute of the game. Holger Vennerlund came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Norrlands Athen's Måns Sandberg. But to his dismay, Måns Sandberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 59 minutes into the match, Måns Sandberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Holger Vennerlund. Gnesta Oilers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Måns Sandberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Mathias Alrot replaced Urbano Fidencio. Kasper Vallman hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the game, Gilbert Hermansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Holger Vennerlund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Holger Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Hermansson in the 68th minute of play. Gilbert Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd match minute, Gnesta Oilers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Gilbert Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Norrlands Athen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilbert Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Holger Vennerlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Gnesta Oilers got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Gnesta Oilers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Arne Lindqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Arne Lindqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Holger Vennerlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Hermansson in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's Juan Lebron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Holger Vennerlund narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Filcho Slivkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norrlands Athen's Jacinto da Silveira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist in the 89 minute of the game. In the 92ndth minute of the game Gilbert Hermansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gnesta Oilers's Holger Vennerlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Hermansson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Holger Vennerlund was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Gnesta Oilers's Per-Åke Lundgren got a free kick in the 94th minute. Norrlands Athen's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
