Harvey Courtney made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Norrlands Athen's Jacinto da Silveira. A collision led to Baby Snakes getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Erwin Schrödinger hit a great ball. The supporters of Baby Snakes booed when Norrlands Athen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harvey Courtney made in the 20th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Joel Tudor immediately put the ball in play. Norrlands Athen were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Baby Snakes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Filcho Slivkov took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Frank Berglund heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ron Tomkin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Måns Sandberg's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Manfred Fribäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Bohr in the 74th minute of play. Ron Tomkin was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Måns Sandberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Måns Sandberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils Bohr in the 82nd minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Manfred Fribäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilbert Hermansson in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ron Tomkin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Gilbert Hermansson sped through Baby Snakes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ron Tomkin. In the 89th minute Gilbert Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ron Tomkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the game, Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Hermansson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ron Tomkin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. Gilbert Hermansson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ron Tomkin having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilbert Hermansson in the 96th minute of play forced Baby Snakes's goalkeeper Ron Tomkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Norrlands Athen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
