The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Philip Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaru-Uaru's Frederico Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Jaru-Uaru from getting a goal against them. Jaru-Uaru were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. David Magalhães took the corner. The corner led Jaru-Uaru's David Magalhães to fire away a dangerous shot which Philip Doyle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Frederico Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braulio Martinez, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Darrin McLiam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Frederico Zonta when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Frederico Zonta threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Darrin McLiam, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 21st minute of the match Ballybunion Celtic F.C. got a corner. Jaru-Uaru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ryleigh McLaughlin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ryleigh McLaughlin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frederico Zonta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Frederico Zonta made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Brannon Gillmour sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darrin McLiam in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederico Zonta saved Jaru-Uaru from getting behind. Ronaldo Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldo Alagoano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jaru-Uaru getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ronaldo Alagoano hit a great ball. When Leonel Valadares fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaru-Uaru's protests and gave Leonel Valadares a yellow card for diving instead. Leonel Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darrin McLiam in the 33rd minute of play forced Jaru-Uaru's goalkeeper Frederico Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cormac Dillon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Frederico Zonta firmly grabbed it by the left post. Braulio Martinez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Frederico Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Phelim Ghee was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaru-Uaru the free kick. A collision led to Ballybunion Celtic F.C. getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Phelim Ghee hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adilson Coutinho to make the kick off. Jaru-Uaru's Frederico Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Martinez in the 56th minute of play. Frederico Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cormac Dillon, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After some careless play in the Jaru-Uaru defense, Cormac Dillon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederico Zonta. The Jaru-Uaru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederico Zonta should have stopped the shot. Cormac Dillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Jaru-Uaru defense, Darrin McLiam kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frederico Zonta. The Jaru-Uaru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frederico Zonta should have stopped the shot. After 73 minutes Jaru-Uaru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ryleigh McLaughlin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s Ryleigh McLaughlin to fire away a dangerous shot which Frederico Zonta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Braulio Martinez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frederico Zonta. Jaru-Uaru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braulio Martinez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tipraite Costello charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tipraite Costello the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Tipraite Costello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaru-Uaru's Frederico Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darrin McLiam in the 89th minute of play. Conleth Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Frederico Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jaru-Uaru's zone, Cormac Dillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Zonta came out of the goal and Cormac Dillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ballybunion Celtic F.C.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
