In the 4thth minute of the game Måns Sandberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 5 minutes KFC Paal-Tervant's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filcho Slivkov who took care of the corner kick. With a little luck, KFC Paal-Tervant's Willem-Jan Steuckens got control of the ball when Juan Lebron tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaert Leempoels didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match, Måns Sandberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Willem-Jan Steuckens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Anthonio Villyn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfred Fribäck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Willem-Jan Steuckens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juan Lebron made a kick off. After 51 played minutes KFC Paal-Tervant got a freekick which was hit by Jason Nys. In the 53rd minute, Måns Sandberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Willem-Jan Steuckens was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Manfred Fribäck made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Nys in the 56th minute. Willem-Jan Steuckens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute Mathis Limpens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manfred Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norrlands Athen made a substitution. Mathias Alrot replaced Urbano Fidencio. Norrlands Athen's Arvin Låsberg was substituted for Tord Lundin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Lebron in the 64th minute of play forced KFC Paal-Tervant's goalkeeper Willem-Jan Steuckens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute, Gilbert Hermansson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Norrlands Athen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0.
