In the 10th match minute, Ypiranga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodriguinho Dracena to maneuver through the defense. Poul Knoblauch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giraldo Navarro in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Ypiranga FC booed when Cadiz United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reinaldo Cayuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu Guedes in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Carpentier saved Cadiz United from getting behind. In the 22nd match minute, Cadiz United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Che Rey to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the match, Cadiz United's Léo França sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Poul Knoblauch narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute of the match Joel Bastos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Carpentier skillfully saved the ball. Cadiz United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when José Furlan scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Carpentier, making the score, 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Furlan got free with Jonathan Carpentier in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Romeu Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Carpentier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 45 minutes Cadiz United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rodriguinho Dracena who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Cadiz United's Che Rey got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Jonathan Carpentier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeu Guedes in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ypiranga FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Che Rey was slow to take the kick. During this time Cadiz United's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Che Rey almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ypiranga FC's Poul Knoblauch did a great save. In the 69th minute, Romeu Guedes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Furlan charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Furlan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. José Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jonathan Carpentier came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ypiranga FC's José Furlan. But to his dismay, José Furlan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ypiranga FC's Poul Knoblauch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo França in the 77th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Léo França had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Poul Knoblauch. Ypiranga FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Léo França was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romeu Guedes in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Carpentier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Giraldo Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Romeu Guedes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Carpentier was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Giraldo Navarro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Poul Knoblauch made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Giraldo Navarro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cadiz United's supporters rose to their feet, but Giraldo Navarro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Poul Knoblauch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ypiranga FC's goalkeeper Poul Knoblauch, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Carpentier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Cadiz United players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Ypiranga FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
