Luiz Fabiano Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Bucéfalo FC's Rui de Mendonça got control of the ball when Igor Coronado tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celsinho da Silveira in the 14th minute of play forced Bucéfalo FC's goalkeeper Rui de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MAZER SAF's Osvaldo Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Passos in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bucéfalo FC defense, Igor Coronado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rui de Mendonça. The Bucéfalo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui de Mendonça should have stopped the shot. 25 minutes into the match, Bucéfalo FC's Diamantino Ferreira broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Rui de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho da Silveira in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Passos in the 28th minute of play forced MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Osvaldo Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Alberto kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes, Félix Torres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MAZER SAF and the Bucéfalo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Bucéfalo FC booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Félix Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Bucéfalo FC got a freekick which was hit by André Moura. Rui de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Alberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romário Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Bucéfalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Igor Coronado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celsinho da Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rui de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Marques came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Bucéfalo FC's Romário Passos. But to his dismay, Romário Passos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bucéfalo FC's Edgard Costa was substituted for Clemente Vidal. MAZER SAF's Bernardinho Cunha was substituted for Celsinho da Silveira. MAZER SAF's Gernando Vianna was substituted for Erasmo Mesquita. MAZER SAF's Adriano Rosa was substituted for Jarbas Borges. After 76 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Abraão. Arthur Branco's late challenge caught a MAZER SAF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arthur Branco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when Bucéfalo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute Arthur Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes MAZER SAF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tico Mole who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Tico Mole got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Osvaldo Marques quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Rui de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Coronado in the 93rd minute of play. Paulo Nunes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Igor Coronado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MAZER SAF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.

MAZER SAF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
