Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dávid Núñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A sloppy throw-in by Leighton Davies in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sporting Savaria's Ferenc Beckenbauer. In the 8th match minute, Sporting Savaria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lázár Szőnyi to maneuver through the defense. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tamás Lányi in the 24th minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Savaria getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Csaba Veress hit a great ball. Márton Gombos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Issac Dawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Savaria's zone, Issac Dawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márton Gombos came out of the goal and Issac Dawson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Issac Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Issac Dawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tamás Lányi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kyle Cox made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Sporting Savaria's goalkeeper Márton Gombos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Micah Macdonald. In the 52nd minute England were awarded a corner. Micah Macdonald went to the cornerflag to take it. Caelan Hayes made a great header on England's corner, it was just that Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos managed to reach the ball for a save. Máté Dénes charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Máté Dénes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Issac Dawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. England were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Sporting Savaria to leave the ground with a draw.
