An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Vermeşan in the 13th minute of play forced Storfors AIK's goalkeeper Bror Lange to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgil Jupân received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bror Lange came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgil Jupân slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. 20 minutes into the game, Leonard Moarcăș was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Storfors AIK the free kick. Storfors AIK's Bror Lange played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Phoenix in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Storfors AIK's Anders Klack got a free kick in the 34th minute. After some careless play in the Storfors AIK defense, Calistrat Şerbănescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bror Lange. The Storfors AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bror Lange should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Storfors AIK's zone, Golo Phoenix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bror Lange came out of the goal and Golo Phoenix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torbjörn Soned in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moise Ţurlău prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Golo Phoenix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bror Lange was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torbjörn Soned to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Aristide Fetea got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Golo Phoenix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bror Lange made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Golo Phoenix kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Marin Ciulei was substituted for Leonard Moarcăș. After some careless play in the Storfors AIK defense, Golo Phoenix kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bror Lange. The Storfors AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bror Lange should have stopped the shot. Bror Lange took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Jupân, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Marin Ciulei fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's protests and gave Marin Ciulei a yellow card for diving instead. Marin Ciulei hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bror Lange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Golo Phoenix in the 75th minute of play. Storfors AIK's Anders Klack got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bror Lange showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sorin Nicorici in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Nistor Vermeşan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
