It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 6th minute, but Iker Casillas got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Villa Gordiani hanging dry this time. Iker Casillas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Langsford in the 14th minute of play. Villa Gordiani's Iker Casillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicholas Langsford in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Nicholas Langsford made a precise shot to the right of Iker Casillas. Villa Gordiani's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 18th match minute, Villa Gordiani was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Lemme to maneuver through the defense. Iker Casillas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Marrone in the 24th minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Villa Gordiani's goalkeeper Iker Casillas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Trombatore in the 38th minute of play forced Gabbro FC's goalkeeper Antonio Buccella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Casillas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Marrone in the 42nd minute. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Villa Gordiani's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fedele Di Prinzio was slow to take the kick. During this time Gabbro FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Gabbro FC's Gustavo Piearres to fire away a dangerous shot which Iker Casillas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Anfilogino Trombatore made the kick off in the second half. Nicholas Langsford scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iker Casillas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Marrone, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Alfonso Marrone might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Iker Casillas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfonso Marrone ran back to his position shaking his head. Iker Casillas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Langsford in the 93rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Gabbro FC had won after a very even match.
