Valter Xabats short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Maxime Durand to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Valter Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Maxime Durand managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias-Alexander Leers, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of France booed when Alemannia Aachen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Müller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valter Xabat might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maxime Durand. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valter Xabat ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxime Durand made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Valter Xabat sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd play minute Valter Xabat came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Maxime Durand. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias-Alexander Leers in the 27th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Thomas Müller fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alemannia Aachen's protests and gave Thomas Müller a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alemannia Aachen's Thomas Müller got a free kick in the 34th minute. Valter Xabat's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maxime Durand firmly grabbed it by the left post. 38 minutes into the match, Alemannia Aachen's Valter Xabat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maxime Durand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valter Xabat got free with Maxime Durand in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alemannia Aachen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lech Wawrukiewicz in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Lech Wawrukiewicz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Maxime Durand quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Quentin Beaux kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 47 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Jean Bombelles. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When Alemannia Aachen's Mathias-Alexander Leers in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Xabat in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Xabat in the 77th minute of play forced France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias-Alexander Leers in the 81st minute of play. Valter Xabat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Valter Xabat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Jess Carnduff made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Camille Baume sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute Camille Baume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jess Carnduff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Alemannia Aachen support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
