Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kyle Cox took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Cooper Thompson hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Unai got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zeca Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 12th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Kyle Cox got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeca Santos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zeca Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After a rather tough play, England's Eddie Willis got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Erivaldo Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Wellington Phoenix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Erivaldo Pernambucano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Khalid Kennedy came out and tried to block the shot, but Erivaldo Pernambucano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 28th minute of play forced Wellington Phoenix's goalkeeper Zeca Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khalid Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Teofilo Unai sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the game, Teofilo Unai recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Khalid Kennedy. Teofilo Unai showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Zeca Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Issac Dawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ronaldo Barral hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Issac Dawson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The England fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anderson Ortiz to strike the kick off in the second half. Zeca Santos was a little too slow when Micah Macdonald got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 2-3. Zeca Santos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Micah Macdonald went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Teofilo Unai put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Khalid Kennedy. In the 82nd minute, Erivaldo Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wellington Phoenix fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Unai in the 86th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erivaldo Pernambucano in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Erivaldo Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
