Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Bulls the free kick. The supporters of Grêmio Bulls booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Catugi FC's Agnaldo Brodel got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Agnaldo Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agnaldo Brodel couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Catugi FC's protests and gave Agnaldo Brodel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Agnaldo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
