Gilvan Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Pan De Wen kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Régis de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kepa Arrizabalaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute Edson Meira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kepa Arrizabalaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Mendes. Natanael Mendes made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Paolo Maldini. After some careless play in the Grêmio Bulls defense, Antônio Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Jacinto. The Grêmio Bulls fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Jacinto should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute, Richard Nixon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcel Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 45thth minute of the game Antônio Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Bulls's Marcel Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th minute, Natanael Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grêmio Bulls's Marcel Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Santos in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Santos was the one to do the kick off. Natanael Mendes hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Marcel Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eurico Félix in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kepa Arrizabalaga saved ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ from getting behind. When ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The crowd rose to their feet as Antônio Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcel Jacinto. That made the score 0-4 in the 64 minute of play. In the 67th minute Antônio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arthur Guedes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Jacinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Washington Bezerra during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pan De Wen hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the game, Grêmio Bulls's Régis de Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kepa Arrizabalaga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
