Antônio Santos scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cesinha Veiga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 31st minute Antônio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesinha Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Pan De Wen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Virgílio Domingues, made in the 39th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Tião Guerra in the 40th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Pan De Wen. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Ove Ahlström got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antônio Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hartmann Futebol Clube's Cesinha Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Santos in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Ove Ahlström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Ahlström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antônio Santos got free with Cesinha Veiga in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesinha Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio Santos's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesinha Veiga made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Arthur Guedes sent off a good shot on target. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s João Vítor Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan de Souza in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Arthur Guedes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cesinha Veiga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Makis Apostolakis got a free kick in the 76th minute. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Arthur Guedes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s attentive Pan De Wen managed to snatch the ball when Tião Guerra made a throw-in in the 80th minute of the game. In the 82nd match minute, Hartmann Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Xavier to maneuver through the defense. Ove Ahlström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cesinha Veiga firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 90 played minutes Hartmann Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Tião Guerra. In the 91st minute of the match, Arthur Guedes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cesinha Veiga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hartmann Futebol Clube.
