In the 4th minute Xande Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carlos Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ booed when Heidemann FC - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antônio Santos scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Carlos Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's Leonel Soares in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Cardozo during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. William Cardozo hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Carlos Paraíba made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Antônio Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carlos Paraíba having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Orlando Sá during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd match minute, Heidemann FC - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Sá to maneuver through the defense. João Carlos Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paolo Maldini, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's William Cardozo got a free kick in the 34th minute. João Carlos Paraíba made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Antônio Santos sent off a good shot on target. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paolo Maldini in the 39th minute. A nice corner shot did that Paolo Maldini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this João Carlos Paraíba quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Antônio Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Paraíba got control of the ball when Antônio Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute, Antônio Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Antônio Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

If Ulysses Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Carlos Paraíba came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos. But to his dismay, Antônio Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Antônio Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Carlos Paraíba having to make a save. Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Santos in the 59th minute of play. William Cardozo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Antônio Santos scored 5-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Carlos Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Ove Ahlström came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ove Ahlström couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Heidemann FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Luan Saraiva hit a great ball. After 75 minutes, Antônio Santos made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Paraíba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antônio Santos in the 78th minute of play forced Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Carlos Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Carlos Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, Anderson Domingues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 81st minute of the match Paolo Maldini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but João Carlos Paraíba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 82 played minutes Heidemann FC - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Domingues. Antônio Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Carlos Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. João Carlos Paraíba didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Antônio Santos went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. 87 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Carlos Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Carlos Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 90 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Antônio Santos sped through Heidemann FC - FSCMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Carlos Paraíba. A collision led to Heidemann FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. William Cardozo hit a great ball. ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
