The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Fábio de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palmeiras's protests and gave Fábio de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Fábio de Souza. 6 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's José Carlos Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Ramalho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Tomé Bittencourt hit a great ball. Pegoraro Da Messina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Martini in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Martini in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pegoraro Da Messina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes Palmeiras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Martini who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ricardo Martini got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pegoraro Da Messina quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Emanuel Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Rosado in the 23rd minute of play. Davi Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Emanuel Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Beto Martini MZ 20 years booed when Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Palmeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute, Beto Martini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pegoraro Da Messina was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Fábio de Souza hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. José Carlos Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davi Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Emanuel Ramalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Wágner Campidelis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palmeiras the free kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beto Martini was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Nando Martini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60thth minute of the game Beto Martini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Palmeiras's Pegoraro Da Messina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Elano Soares. Ricardo Martini took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pegoraro Da Messina. Palmeiras's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Pegoraro Da Messina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beto Martini in the 62nd minute of play. Davi Rosado struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Emanuel Ramalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palmeiras. Pegoraro Da Messina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Martini in the 67th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredão França during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Alfredão França got a free kick in the 76th minute. Beto Martini MZ 20 years were awarded a corner in the 78th minute after Palmeiras's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ricardo Martini took the corner. The corner ended in Ricardo Martini almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Palmeiras's Pegoraro Da Messina did a great save. Vinícius Esteves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emanuel Ramalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Vinícius Esteves slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 81st minute. After 88 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Davi Rosado. José Carlos Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Esteves in the 90th minute of play forced Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper Emanuel Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Beto Martini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pegoraro Da Messina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Elano Soares. After 96 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Davi Rosado. 98 minutes into the match, Beto Martini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pegoraro Da Messina. Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beto Martini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
