In the 5th minute, Elói Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Gitano Fuentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 11 minutes, Dudu Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Borges was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12 played minutes Abeluse Flow got a freekick which was hit by Mambru Jorquera. Quique Contratas was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Dudu Borges capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dudu Borges really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Hernani Travassos notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Abeluse Flow's Quique Contratas. Quique Contratas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gitano Fuentes's late challenge caught a Catugi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gitano Fuentes helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Abeluse Flow's Gitano Fuentes got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 27 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Abraão. Folke Österlund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mambru Jorquera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damario Navarro in the 30th minute of play. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basilio Herrero in the 35th minute of the match. Dudu Borges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hernani Travassos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Folke Österlund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gitano Fuentes in the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Vicente Neiva hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dudu Borges made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Hernani Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's Hernani Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abeluse Flow's Quique Contratas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Travassos in the 61st minute of play. Dudu Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Abeluse Flow's Basilio Herrero got a free kick in the 78th minute. When Dudu Borges came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu Borges couldn't finish the play. Dudu Borges took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Quique Contratas. Quique Contratas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Gitano Fuentes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Folke Österlund made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Luiz Fernando Abraão had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Abeluse Flow's Taurino Saavedra got his second yellow card of the match in the 90th minute. The referee ordered Taurino Saavedra off the ground. After a rather tough play, Abeluse Flow's Taurino Saavedra got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Abeluse Flow's Quique Contratas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Borges in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Catugi FC had won after a very even match.
