Jano Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Montevideo's Oleg Timofeev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Régis de Toledo in the 5th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Régis de Toledo came free, but Oleg Timofeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goalkeeper Marcel Jacinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arthur Trigo. Arthur Trigo shot a long shot in the 10th minute and a light blocked Marcel Jacinto hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. Jano Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Oleg Timofeev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Gilvan Nascimento took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oleg Timofeev. Oleg Timofeev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Edmílson Schmidt lost his temper 17 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 17th minute, one of Montevideo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montevideo. Montevideo:s Oleg Timofeev showed great skill when he stopped Régis de Toledo:s penalty. 21 minutes into the match, Montevideo's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Meira came free, but Oleg Timofeev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arthur Trigo's late challenge caught a Grêmio Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arthur Trigo helped the player get up and apologised. Arthur Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Arthur Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Jacinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute Montevideo were awarded a corner. Agostinho Salgado went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Montevideo's Agostinho Salgado to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcel Jacinto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 30th minute, Régis de Toledo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oleg Timofeev was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Cipriano Valadares was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 34 minutes into the match, Grêmio Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Cavalcante came free, but Marcel Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Montevideo's Agostinho Salgado to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcel Jacinto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Agostinho Salgado got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcel Jacinto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Bulls's Régis de Toledo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Jano Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jano Cavalcante stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jano Cavalcante hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Marcel Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Régis de Toledo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Baltazar de Castro hit a great ball. Jano Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Marcel Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Régis de Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Fiori Vasconcelos hit a great ball. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Washington Bezerra hit a great ball. Régis de Toledo got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Bulls's Régis de Toledo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Montevideo's Arthur Trigo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Grêmio Bulls getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Washington Bezerra hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Bulls's zone, Agostinho Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Jacinto came out of the goal and Agostinho Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Grêmio Bulls players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
