An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonah Ryan in the 18th minute of play forced Orangeburg's goalkeeper Gabriel Swan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Levon Sarkisyan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruben Coats in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Orangeburg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Shane Smiley was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 United States's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to U21 United States getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Kip Galvan hit a great ball. Ruben Coats kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Orangeburg's Gabriel Swan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Orangeburg from getting a goal against them. After 28 played minutes Orangeburg got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Coats. 29 minutes into the game, Jonah Ryan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Gabriel Swan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brock Friend in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Swan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brock Friends short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Gabriel Swan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When U21 United States's Brock Friend in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Orangeburg's goalie prevented a goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 United States fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! U21 United States:s Levon Sarkisyan showed great skill when he stopped Ruben Coats:s penalty. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruben Coats to make the kick off. In the 65th minute Jonah Ryan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Swan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute U21 United States were awarded a corner. Shane Smiley went to the cornerflag to take it. After 72 minutes, Brock Friend made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Orangeburg's Gabriel Swan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 75 minutes, Lamar Armstrong mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orangeburg and the U21 United States players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of U21 United States booed when Orangeburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lamar Armstrong didn't get a good kick on the ball. The U21 United States fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U21 United States had played much better football throughout.
