In the 7th minute, Édouard Deloge ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chase Palacios was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Chase Palacios came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by BOTAFOGO's Édouard Deloge. But to his dismay, Édouard Deloge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Mór Cilia charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mór Cilia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute of the match Kauan Melo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Chase Palacios showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Chase Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaanek Oese in the 16th minute of play. BUITRES II's Chase Palacios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauan Melo in the 18th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kauan Melo in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chase Palacios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Allen Salinas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alfonso Taraborrelli firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of BUITRES II booed when BOTAFOGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Édouard Deloge didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, BUITRES II's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Madureira came free, but Chase Palacios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Toninho Madureira took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chase Palacios. Chase Palacios dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After some careless play in the BUITRES II defense, Toninho Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chase Palacios. The BUITRES II fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chase Palacios should have stopped the shot. Chase Palacios showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toninho Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After 35 minutes, Toninho Madureira made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. BUITRES II's Chase Palacios tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dan Pike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfonso Taraborrelli having to interfere. Chase Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toninho Madureira in the 46th minute of play. Édouard Deloge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chase Palacios having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toninho Madureira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toninho Madureira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Chase Palacios when he managed to save the team from getting behind. BUITRES II's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Nilmar Correia scored to the left of an out of position Chase Palacios, making the score, 0-6. Kauan Melo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Chase Palacios when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chase Palacios was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Toninho Madureira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 60 minute of play. Chase Palacios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Édouard Deloge in the 68th minute of the match. After 70 minutes, Dwight Kaplan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BUITRES II and the BOTAFOGO players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an all-out effort, BOTAFOGO's Chase Palacios threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaanek Oese, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 78th play minute Toninho Madureira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Chase Palacios. 0-8. Thanks to some nice moves Kauan Melo could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Chase Palacios however easily saved by the left post. In the 86th minute, Toninho Madureira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chase Palacios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Édouard Deloge in the 97th minute of play. BOTAFOGO's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
