Liu Feng Quan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedrinho de Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liu Feng Quan in the 11th minute of play. Luís Fábio Pontes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Alfa FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BMB IMOVEIS SC:s goal. Pedrinho de Queirós had in the 14thth minute some difficulties stopping Fernandão Gaúcho's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 15th match minute, BMB IMOVEIS SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telmo Dante to maneuver through the defense. Pedrinho de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manoel Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. BMB IMOVEIS SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fernandão Gaúcho in the 21st minute. The corner ended in Fernandão Gaúcho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós did a great save. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Esteban Lobo managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 85th minute Esteban Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnoldo Donzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferreirinha Vinhas might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnoldo Donzel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ferreirinha Vinhas ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Denílson de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson de Souza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnoldo Donzel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manoel Botelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedrinho de Queirós read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play.
