Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hamílton Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 4th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Martins in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Chaves saved Ligeiro F.C from getting behind. Hamílton Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes Ligeiro F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Luís da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Selami Rezan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hamílton Chaves quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 11th minute, Nestor Paraibano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marquês de Herval fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Hamílton Chaves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Martins's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ligeiro F.C's zone, German Cano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Chaves came out of the goal and German Cano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute Nestor Paraibano suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Koehler during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ligeiro F.C's Caio Koehler got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís da Rocha in the 21st minute of play forced Ligeiro F.C's goalkeeper Hamílton Chaves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredo Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Hamílton Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfredo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Barreto came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Ligeiro F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Hamílton Chaves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frank Tasso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dida Taffarel made a huge save. Caio Koehler hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Frank Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ligeiro F.C's protests and gave Frank Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ligeiro F.C getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Frank Tasso hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, German Cano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Tasso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Hamílton Chaves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hamílton Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 52nd minute of the match. Alfredo Martins scored 0-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hamílton Chaves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Rodolfo Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Ligeiro F.C's goal looked a bit too open when German Cano came free, but Hamílton Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Fonseca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Hamílton Chaves skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Fonseca in the 62nd minute of play. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Barreto in the 65th minute of the match. Hamílton Chaves was a little too slow when Leandro Fonseca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 0-3. With a little luck, Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves got control of the ball when Leandro Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st minute Alfredo Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Frank Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dida Taffarel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. In the 79th minute, one of Ligeiro F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ligeiro F.C. Ligeiro F.C:s Hamílton Chaves showed great skill when he stopped Pedro Luís da Rocha:s penalty. Leandro Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Hamílton Chaves made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Fonseca got free with Hamílton Chaves in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hamílton Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. German Cano had several of the Ligeiro F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Hamílton Chaves as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 93rd minute, Leandro Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ligeiro F.C's Hamílton Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Ligeiro F.C from getting a goal against them.
