PacMan SugarEaters's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iulian Pietreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gong Jun Feng was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Nils Dalgren capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nils Dalgren really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. A collision led to PacMan SugarEaters getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Åke Lång hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Wilson Arósio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Hallgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Iulian Pietreanu sped through PacMan SugarEaters's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Åke Hallgren. In the 27th minute, Wilson Arósio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Åke Hallgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Wilson Arósio struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Åke Hallgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC UNIREA Alba Iulia. In the 32nd minute, Orçun Yalınalp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Lilian Thuram got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee ignored PacMan SugarEaters's protests and gave Patric Björnberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for PacMan SugarEaters! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iulian Pietreanu was the one to do the kick off. Petrică Cândreanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Hallgren having to make a save. Orçun Yalınalp was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 56th minute. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 56th minute, Iulian Pietreanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC UNIREA Alba Iulia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. Gösta Uter kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. PacMan SugarEaters's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Iulian Pietreanu scored to the left of an out of position Åke Hallgren, making the score, 1-9. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's Gong Jun Feng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Dalgren in the 80th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrian Pătrășcanu got free with Åke Hallgren in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iulian Pietreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Åke Hallgren made a huge save. Gong Jun Feng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Dalgren, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goal looked a bit too open when Lilian Thuram came free, but Gong Jun Feng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nils Dalgren hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Mariano Jordy kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
