Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Genk booed when LIVERPOOL FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosmin Onișoru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosmin Onișoru made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Genk's Rain De Hond. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rain De Hond in the 7th minute of play forced LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Qian Ying Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qian Ying Lang came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Genk's Rain De Hond. But to his dismay, Rain De Hond quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Qian Ying Lang, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Genk's goalkeeper Jannes Van Leempoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aurel Corlățean. Alfons Rijniers kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 30 minutes in the game Cosmin Onișoru did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marian Prislop. Ariel Paris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Qian Ying Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 minutes LIVERPOOL FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Loui Wouqier who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Rain De Hond managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suat Kaya in the 43rd minute of play forced LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Qian Ying Lang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

In the 51st minute, Kjell Kämpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Qian Ying Lang was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Loui Wouqier. Jannes Van Leempoel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurel Corlățean's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. If Suat Kaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qian Ying Lang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Suat Kaya in the 59th minute of play. After 61 minutes LIVERPOOL FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Loui Wouqier who took care of the corner kick. Suat Kaya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Qian Ying Lang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by LIVERPOOL FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Loui Wouqier was slow to take the kick. During this time Genk's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Rain De Hond managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. 72 minutes into the game, Cosmin Onișoru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LIVERPOOL FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Genk the free kick. After 72 played minutes LIVERPOOL FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosmin Onișoru. Vergil Rupov might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Qian Ying Lang. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vergil Rupov ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, LIVERPOOL FC's goalkeeper Qian Ying Lang had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vergil Rupov. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vergil Rupov got free with Qian Ying Lang in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vergil Rupov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rain De Hond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Qian Ying Lang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Genk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rain De Hond to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes LIVERPOOL FC got a freekick which was hit by Marian Prislop. After a rather tough play, LIVERPOOL FC's Kjell Kämpe got a free kick in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Loui Wouqier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Genk's supporters rose to their feet, but Loui Wouqier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Qian Ying Lang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Prislop's late challenge caught a Genk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marian Prislop helped the player get up and apologised. Marian Prislop kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Vergil Rupov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Genk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vergil Rupov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kjell Kämpe kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Genk had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
