In the 11thth minute of the game Wilson Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Devils's Claude Bermudez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabien Van Daelen in the 13th minute of play forced FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalkeeper Gong Jun Feng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gong Jun Feng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo Lima in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute of the match Red Devils got a corner. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Nagy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claude Bermudez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orçun Yalınalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With his leg Gong Jun Feng managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Red Devils's Fabien Van Daelen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Red Devils's goalkeeper Claude Bermudez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabien Van Daelen struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Gong Jun Feng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Red Devils. 33 minutes into the match, Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Horhoianu came free, but Claude Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Red Devils's attentive Steffen Gabrielsen managed to snatch the ball when Zenon Galagan made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 48thth minute of the game Iulian Pietreanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Devils's Claude Bermudez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabien Van Daelen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fabien Van Daelen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute FC UNIREA Alba Iulia were awarded a corner. Marciano Cambranes went to the cornerflag to take it. Téo Lima's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gong Jun Feng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Orçun Yalınalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes in the game Zenon Galagan did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Gigel Horhoianu. Fabien Van Daelen scored 1-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gong Jun Feng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Iulian Pietreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Red Devils getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Carmelo Eladio hit a great ball. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
