Red Devils's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabien Van Daelen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute of the match Gettrup SIK got a corner. Red Devils's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kris Noander ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claude Bermudez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kris Noander in the 11th minute. The supporters of Gettrup SIK booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Eladio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claude Bermudez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kris Noander in the 19th minute of play. Téo Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Nikki Nørredam with Isak Krontoft as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After 23 minutes, Kris Noander made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Red Devils's Claude Bermudez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute Fabien Van Daelen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torben Drieø saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kris Noander who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Claude Bermudez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kris Noander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fabien Van Daelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Torben Drieø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabien Van Daelen in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loui Dyndgaard in the 61st minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Claude Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabien Van Daelen got free with Torben Drieø in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabien Van Daelen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Torben Drieø when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Noander in the 77th minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Claude Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Herstad took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claude Bermudez. Claude Bermudez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Gettrup SIK's Keld Popp was substituted for Sebastean Staniok. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gettrup SIK's goalkeeper Torben Drieø, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Noander in the 93rd minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Claude Bermudez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Red Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Kris Noander came free, but Claude Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Red Devils's Claude Bermudez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kris Noander in the 96th minute of play. Gettrup SIK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Red Devils for a fine match.
