Cleto Maxin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Liquid Spirit booed when Serbia y Mantonegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Bizi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Virila might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Astor Belarmo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Virila ran back to his position shaking his head. Albano Nayely charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albano Nayely the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Serbia y Mantonegro got a freekick which was hit by Albano Nayely. Cleto Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from German Beltran in the 21st minute of play. Benjamin Virila could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Astor Belarmo made a huge save. In the 26th minute Ricky Centurión shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Albano Nayely in the 28th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Liquid Spirit's Reynaldo Gartxot. Ricky Centurión fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleto Maxin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Centurión in the 37th minute of play forced Liquid Spirit's goalkeeper Cleto Maxin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cleto Maxin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricky Centurión's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Cleto Maxin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Centurión in the 44th minute of play.

In the 52nd minute, Serbia y Mantonegro's Ricky Centurión ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cleto Maxin. Cleto Maxin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. When Ricky Centurión came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Serbia y Mantonegro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricky Centurión couldn't finish the play. German Beltran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 62 minutes into the match, Serbia y Mantonegro's German Beltran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Maxin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With his leg Cleto Maxin managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Serbia y Mantonegro's German Beltran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cleto Maxin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky Centurión, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Liquid Spirit's Hernan Alfonso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Astor Belarmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Americo Mero in the 80th minute of play. Arsenio Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. German Beltran's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Cleto Maxin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Carolo Cordarrel kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Serbia y Mantonegro got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Centurión. Astor Belarmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Gartxot in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Serbia y Mantonegro eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
