Irakli Robakidze made in the 6th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Slovakia's Vít Biskup. Oliver Holub's late challenge caught a A V A Z A's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Holub helped the player get up and apologised. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zviadi Anghelache, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Filipp Topnikov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrich Slany having to make a save. 27 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when Filipp Topnikov came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Csaba Gera managed to get in a good position for a shot. A V A Z A's supporters rose to their feet, but Csaba Gera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrich Slany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zviadi Anghelache in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Slovakia getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Kornel Jahoda hit a great ball. Henrich Slany made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Filipp Topnikov sent off a good shot on target. Henrich Slany was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Filipp Topnikov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filipp Topnikov really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 42nd minute, Metod Mlynar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The throw-in from Irakli Robakidze in the 45th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Slovakia's Vít Biskup. Vavrinec Koleno hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Henrich Slany was a little too slow when Filipp Topnikov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 48th minute. The score was now 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Metod Mlynar to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Csaba Gera notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Slovakia's Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 60 minutes into the match, A V A Z A's goalkeeper Şaban Okdağ had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliver Holub. After some careless play in the Slovakia defense, Filipp Topnikov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrich Slany. The Slovakia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrich Slany should have stopped the shot. A V A Z A's Irakli Robakidze quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vít Biskup, made in the 74th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Slovakia's zone, Filipp Topnikov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrich Slany came out of the goal and Filipp Topnikov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Filipp Topnikov notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Slovakia's Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kornel Jahoda to maneuver through the defense. Eldar Zukić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrich Slany having to make a save. Zviadi Anghelache might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Henrich Slany. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zviadi Anghelache ran back to his position shaking his head. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zviadi Anghelache in the 97th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Filipp Topnikov notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Slovakia's Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
