The throw-in from Rafal Cwojdak in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Simon Bendtsen. When Rafal Cwojdak fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Herbalists Opole's protests and gave Rafal Cwojdak a yellow card for diving instead. Mikkel Wulff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stasio Borowski in the 27th minute of the match. If Bertram Svenningsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zygmunt Pyrteks short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Keld Paulsen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Borowski in the 36th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zygmunt Pyrtek. Artur Niedzwiecki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 40th playminute. 44 minutes into the match, Herbalists Opole's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Eugeniusz Wiatrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krzysztof Jakubiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Stasio Borowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Stasio Borowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Niedzwiecki in the 66th minute of play. Denmark's Simon Bendtsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juliusz Kolbert, made in the 70th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Olav Graversen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 77th minute of play forced Herbalists Opole's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Wiatrak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute, Mikkel Wulff reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eugeniusz Wiatrak. The goal made the score 3-2. Keld Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zygmunt Pyrtek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zygmunt Pyrtek in the 88th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juliusz Kolbert charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juliusz Kolbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juliusz Kolbert kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Herbalists Opole fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
