The crowd rose to their feet as Edvard Dusett kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. If Nickolai Nickerson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nickolai Nickerson in the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Boca Juniors's zone, Felipe Barreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens-Åke Källberg came out of the goal and Felipe Barreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nickolai Nickerson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nickolai Nickerson in the 53rd minute of play. Boca Juniors's Jens-Åke Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. Jens-Åke Källberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute of the match, Viriato Moura tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nickolai Nickerson in the 64th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's Edvard Dusett sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Boca Juniors made a substitution. Isaac Billing replaced Harry Hedling. In the 81st minute Bartolomeu Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Åke Källberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nickolai Nickerson in the 83rd minute of play. Jens-Åke Källberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeu Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Boca Juniors had won after a very even match.
