The corner ended in Isaias Vellito almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Retorno de Palermo's Modesto Olentzaro did a great save. 17 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Modesto Olentzaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaias Vellito. Victorino Misael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelino Bernard, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Angelino Bernard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. The supporters of Three Deck Wizards booed when El Retorno de Palermo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Three Deck Wizards's Filomeno Ermano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Modesto Olentzaro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Three Deck Wizards fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Three Deck Wizards's Rogelio Efraim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
