After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, David Söderlund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle United F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but David Söderlund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Gitano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 14 minutes into the match, Newcastle United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benito Camela came free, but Håkan Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Gitano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urban Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Newcastle United F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Jesus Llin scored to the left of an out of position Håkan Åkesson, making the score, 1-0. Håkan Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleto Solustiano in the 22nd minute of the match. Gustavo Gitano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fahhad Al Herz's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Felix Sagrario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Håkan Åkesson made a huge save. Inocencio Richie kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Newcastle United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Eric Lundström. In the 39thth minute of the game Fahhad Al Herz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serbia y Mantonegro's Gustavo Gitano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Felix Sagrario came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Serbia y Mantonegro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Sagrario couldn't finish the play. Benito Camela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Felix Sagrario made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Benito Camela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Camela struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Håkan Åkesson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serbia y Mantonegro. After 86 minutes, Egil Lindman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newcastle United F.C. and the Serbia y Mantonegro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Newcastle United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egil Lindman to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Newcastle United F.C.'s zone, Cleto Solustiano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Håkan Åkesson came out of the goal and Cleto Solustiano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Benito Camela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 95th minute, Benito Camela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Serbia y Mantonegro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Serbia y Mantonegro fully deserved thier win.
