After 3 minutes, Cătălin Vasilache mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester City and the Conjunto Paisa players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manchester City's Frank Pearce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. 6 minutes into the game, Stevie Colman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lev Yashin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Conjunto Paisa's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthony Carey in the 10th minute of play. When Calum Longstaffe fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester City's protests and gave Calum Longstaffe a yellow card for diving instead. Calum Longstaffe kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match, Fix Zubiaur tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Frank Pearce saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddy Roig in the 15th minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Frank Pearce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elói Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Frank Pearce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Manchester City's Frank Pearce got control of the ball when Tomás Angel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Pearce came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Conjunto Paisa's Freddy Roig. But to his dismay, Freddy Roig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Manchester City's Frank Pearce proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Manchester City from getting a goal against them. 29 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Fix Zubiaur came free, but Frank Pearce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes of play Manchester City's Calum Longstaffe was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 30 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Calum Longstaffe. A collision led to Conjunto Paisa getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Tomás Angel hit a great ball. Tomás Angel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Frank Pearce made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stevie Colman in the 35th minute of play forced Conjunto Paisa's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Conjunto Paisa's Fix Zubiaur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Pearce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Fix Zubiaur fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Conjunto Paisa's protests and gave Fix Zubiaur a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Fix Zubiaur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elói Abreu during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Angel to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stevie Colman got free with Lev Yashin in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Pearce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Angel's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Manchester City's Frank Pearce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Roig in the 58th minute of play. Freddy Roig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frank Pearce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Frank Pearce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elói Abreu in the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Conjunto Paisa booed when Manchester City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Seagrave didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Manchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Kingston to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute of the match Freddy Roig sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Pearce skillfully saved the ball.
