Arnaldo Vergílio took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nick Pope. Nick Pope dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karel-Jan De Winter in the 15th minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Nick Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Caballero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Wanderson Freire made a huge save. If Bernardo Caballero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos Verduin in the 31st minute of play forced Bajen's goalkeeper Nick Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nick Pope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jos Verduin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardo Caballero might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wanderson Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Caballero ran back to his position shaking his head. 44 minutes into the match, UMBRELLA CORPORATION™'s goalkeeper Wanderson Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Caballero. Jos Verduin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nick Pope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Bajen's goal looked a bit too open when Karel-Jan De Winter came free, but Nick Pope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bernardo Caballero was the one to do the kick off. Bernardo Caballero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wanderson Freire read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Nicklas Trøjgaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
