Marquinhos de Lara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Wanderson Freire when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Claudinei Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 54 minutes, Claudinei Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THANDERA® FCCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Linares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Cássio Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Claudinei Linares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wanderson Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The THANDERA® FCCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing THANDERA® FCCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
