The audience was convinced that Braulio Sayveon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Eron was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Baltasar Birila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. In the 93rd minute, Rafael Napier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El ultimo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. The El ultimo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El ultimo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
