After some careless play in the Los romperredes F.C defense, Gavino Fagondo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lia Saez. The Los romperredes F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lia Saez should have stopped the shot. Los romperredes F.C's Lia Saez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Fagondo in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Cristian Ted had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Galindo Ruiz fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los romperredes F.C's protests and gave Galindo Ruiz a yellow card for diving instead. Sportivo Ben Hur's Ovidio Piarres was substituted for Cristian Ted. In the 17th minute, one of Los romperredes F.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Los romperredes F.C. Claudio Mark walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. 22 minutes into the match, Los romperredes F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Tiniebra came free, but Lia Saez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Sportivo Ben Hur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Piarres to maneuver through the defense. 26 minutes into the game, Desiderio Tancredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Ben Hur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los romperredes F.C the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Ben Hur's Desiderio Tancredo got a free kick in the 26th minute. Marquez Feal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Idacio Helguera got free with Abelardo Cristofor in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Sportivo Ben Hur were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Fernando Tiniebra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Lia Saez made a huge save. Galindo Ruiz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. The supporters of Los romperredes F.C booed when Sportivo Ben Hur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Incendio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Cristofor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Idacio Helguera's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. With an all-out effort, Sportivo Ben Hur's Lia Saez threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gavino Fagondo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 69th minute, Fernando Tiniebra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Ben Hur fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 74th minute, Idacio Helguera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo Cristofor was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fernando Tiniebra in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lia Saez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 79th minute, Idacio Helguera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abelardo Cristofor was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Abelardo Cristofor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquez Feal in the 82nd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Claudio Mark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Ben Hur's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los romperredes F.C the free kick. The supporters of Los romperredes F.C booed when Sportivo Ben Hur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Mark didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
