Paulino Lain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Generoso Michael in the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Eulalio Vincent tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Paulino Lain saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 24th minute Eulalio Vincent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Magdaleno got free with Paulino Lain in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eulalio Vincent stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paulino Lain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Miliano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
