Espen Granerud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Candido Urbes in the 14th minute of play. A hard shot 16 in the game by Candido Urbes from a close distance when the talented Espen Granerud managed to make a qualified save. Hahay's players were relieved. 21 minutes into the match, Candido Urbes notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Hahay's Espen Granerud. Espen Granerud was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Candido Urbes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Espen Granerud made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witalis Tamulewicz in the 26th minute of play forced Jataiense Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sem Titulescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Walery Roman sped through Jataiense Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sem Titulescu. 33 minutes into the match, Witalis Tamulewicz notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Jataiense Futebol Clube's Sem Titulescu. Espen Granerud made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Candido Urbes sent off a good shot on target. After 45 minutes, Videl Pando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hahay and the Jataiense Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 45 played minutes Hahay got a freekick which was hit by Videl Pando. From a short distance, Jataiense Futebol Clube's Nicolás Castillo, in the 48th minute, tried to place the ball behind Espen Granerud, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Witalis Tamulewicz to strike the kick off in the second half. After 59 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Carlinhos Cerezo. 60 minutes into the game, Witalis Tamulewicz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sem Titulescu. Witalis Tamulewicz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After a defensive mix-up in Jataiense Futebol Clube's zone, Witalis Tamulewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sem Titulescu came out of the goal and Witalis Tamulewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Candido Urbes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 74th minute Candido Urbes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espen Granerud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sem Titulescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Skaradoski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nino Maldini hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Lisandro Martínez was substituted for Meta Noia. The supporters of Hahay booed when Jataiense Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nino Maldini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Sem Titulescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Grocholski in the 82nd minute of play. The Hahay supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Hahay would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
