Reynaldo Stephen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ciro Ferrara's late challenge caught a Club Sportivo Italiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After the first half SELEVASCO were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Cunha was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Renato Paraíba left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SELEVASCO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Sportivo Italiano reached it. Reynaldo Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cãtãlin Hâldan in the 85th minute of the match. Patrick Cunha in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
