Franco Armani was a little too slow when Ştefan Panțuru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. Adrogue FC's Franco Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Iurea in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Marcelo Gallardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Caranfil. Club Vertigo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Gallardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Club Vertigo's zone, Marcelo Gallardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Caranfil came out of the goal and Marcelo Gallardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Well-Well Benne in the 31st minute of play forced Adrogue FC's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franco Armani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stelian Murgu, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Gallardo came free, but Ovidiu Caranfil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Well-Well Benne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Vertigo and the Adrogue FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Marcelo Gallardo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Adrogue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Gallardo couldn't finish the play. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 高文乐 in the 46th minute of play. 47 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Vertigo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ismael Abalos was slow to take the kick. During this time Adrogue FC's players had a chance to rest. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ştefan Panțuru made the kick off in the second half. Marcelo Gallardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ovidiu Caranfil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Gallardo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute Marcelo Gallardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Caranfil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, Marcelo Gallardo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ovidiu Caranfil. Club Vertigo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelo Gallardo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 95 minutes on the clock, Ezequiel Cerilo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 96th match minute, Adrogue FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Cerilo to maneuver through the defense. Ysmael Celerain didn't quite understand what happened when in the 97 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. The Adrogue FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Adrogue FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
