In the 7th minute Roman Kon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Barnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 8 minutes, 俞广扬 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Piratas FC and the Zagłębie Dąbrowskie players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Los Piratas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 俞广扬 to maneuver through the defense. Los Piratas FC made a substitution. Amador Kelemen replaced 俞广扬. After a rather tough play, Los Piratas FC's 俞广扬 got a free kick in the 8th minute. Marian Chilavert made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Herald Roockeloes sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömür Seyfeddin in the 15th minute of play forced Los Piratas FC's goalkeeper James Barnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Laureano Guipuzkoa in the 19th minute. The corner led Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Laureano Guipuzkoa to fire away a dangerous shot which James Barnes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Cervera in the 22nd minute of play forced Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Marian Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Santo hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Marian Chilavert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candido Ospin went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 37thth minute of the game Ömür Seyfeddin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Piratas FC's James Barnes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ömür Seyfeddin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Jorge Cervera took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Marian Chilavert to make any attempt to save it. 47 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Kelemen came free, but Marian Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jorge Cervera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Santo in the 51st minute of play forced Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Marian Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie booed when Los Piratas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabio Bastia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 67 minutes into the game, Karol Biskupiak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. James Barnes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 78 minutes of play, Los Piratas FC's Jorge Cervera made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marian Chilavert was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Ospin in the 87th minute of play forced Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's goalkeeper Marian Chilavert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Jorge Cervera notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Marian Chilavert. Marian Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marian Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Cervera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Scislowicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Jorge Cervera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marian Chilavert was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. When the referee ended the match the Los Piratas FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
